In a day and age where listeners demand that artists develop a style, stick to it, never veer and then criticize them for being "one trick ponies" I applaud artists with accidental or even attempted commercial success for choosing to grow in the face of expectations from fickle consumers... I've recently become a fan of listening... so much so that when I'm on the phone with people who know me they sometimes stop, all of the sudden, and ask "Are you still there?" to which I reply "Yes, I'm just listening..."
