In transit.

I’m often tempted to post whatever is on my mind, I mean it’s a web address that basically consists of “My name.com” so why wouldn’t I… The truth is I expect a lot from us… Us, being you and me. I think there’s a lot on the internet that’s just false, regurgitated and/or both, with a little thesaurus and emothion, some griping, marketing or self aggrandizing mixed into recipe and it just all comes out as the same personality to me . I’m not trying to change the direction of the earth here, but in the interest of using our, ours being yours and mine, our time to the best of it’s potential, while I work and travel and do a little live research here and there I take notes… then I spend some time crafting something that will hopefully be worth the time spent, I’m really bad at html by the way.

This whole thing started when my friend and my brother encouraged me to put my portfolio (of sorts) on line. I’m really bad at self promotion, I don’t want to talk about how great I am or have anyone else’s “I’m so great” stories pushed on me… but believe it or not, you have to show what you’ve done if you want to style or DJ anything…
All this to say, I apologize if you’ve returned to this site and there hasn’t been an update. I genuinely respect the value of your time and appreciate every comment people leave here. I’m working on 3 different posts at the moment, I hope to have them up soon. I just want to make sure whatever I put into the world has some purpose…

With that, I’ll leave you with an interesting picture I snapped at this rest stop on the 5. It was a really crazy day coming from the incredible snow covered mountains of Utah to the beaches of San Diego, watching the sun set on the ocean… sometimes I stop and notice a little sign that reminds me to think.
Hope you get the chance to do a little thinking today.

reflection is good.

It’s not the container which is important. It’s the content. And at this time, in my opinion, i love what you share with us. Just go on.

US? being me and you right? Am I jumping the gun here Josh?? I just love you!

I love reading your postings on here. I don’t purposely come looking for the newst updates! :D Only when you tweet do I look at what you’ve written. :) Because I don’t self promote myself! Don’t have much to offer other then that I’m just a wife and mom of some grown kids. . I’m not computer literate! I can’t even text! But I love reading what you have to say and I love looking at your pictures. Your right in that there are a lot of fake people who just want to make some money any way they can. All you have to do is look at some of the twitter followers! I tweeted I now have artheritis..next thing I know some one is following me who is into some kind of therapy! So..your correct in wha you write. :And..your certainly NOT boring. And I love that you inspire people.

I honestly feel that we all must leave a legacy of some sort. For me it’s being a great mum and to have my children one day saying..’mum was great wasn’t she’. Self promote yourself Josh anyway u can, if u feel that what u have to offer, will really inspire people.
To give to another is what life is all about. U are doing just that!

i really like your blog, because..well first of all i dont read blogs..just this one haha because what you write here makes me want to do something else and not just be another student trying to graduate college, i dont know i guess i can relate to you in a lot of things and maybe that’s why i love reading what you post,
keep up the good work and thank you for taking the time reading these comments :)

kudos

We appreciate your blogs as much as you appreciate our comments.
:)

josh, your humility is admirable

I think that’s a wonderful goal to work towards. I wish everyone did that. That everyone wanted to put something meaningful out there instead of just taking up space with a bunch of crap.
Inspiring as always.

I sometimes want to just write what I feel after reading what you have written too but I hold myself back a little and that’s a good thing and I am sure you know why or I have had this problem from the beginning writing about me after reading about whatever you write instead of commenting, wanting to share and say hey this happened and that happened but know that isnt really what I am supposed to do, but what you write here I have noticed really inspires people to be the best they can be and that is what you do. Your words always have purpose and I am not trying to write the story of how amazing Josh is (even though I think you are) because I know that isnt what you want from writing and I understand self promotion is a big thing and you might not like it but its something you have to do like you said and, like I told you at New Years this year is going to be the biggest year for you and it has started HUGE for you already and congratulations I am so very happy for you. I have been doing a lot of thinking and a lot of reflecting and it is a good thing and I have come to the same conclusion as before. You have also inspired me to do the creative things I used to and more so watch out here I come LOL.:OP Love you lots Josh xoxo ~b

I think some peopole find it hard to tell people how great they are (and really mean it) and some people (like me) find getting a compliment awkward because we believe that we don’t deserve it or are not good enough. I think every compliment someone gives should be cherished because in that moment that person thought about YOU and about how great you made them feel.

I love this blog, and i love how you always incorporate the pictures and even stories about your personal life and your experiences… it makes you more human. Keep it up
